WORKING AT MKG

MKG has offices in NYC and LA and we are currently seeking a Senior Producer to join our dynamic team! This role is central to client and project management/oversight, requiring the Senior Producer to drive projects and processes. Responsibilities may include managing both freelance and full-time producers on a project-by-project basis, as well as mentoring Producers, Associate Producers or Production Coordinators. Senior Producers collaborate on multi-faceted, complex projects involving inter-agency partner management, and may share departmental administrative tasks with the Director of Production (DOP).

Candidates should be located within commuting distance of either office and available for in person collaboration on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This position may be Temp to Perm.

Salary Range: $100K-$140K
***This is the minimum + maximum base salary that we, in good faith, are willing to pay at the time of the posting. Salary commensurate with experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

CORE DUTIES:

  • Ensure client priorities and objectives are met throughout the production/execution.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of critical project tracking and documentation.
  • Develop and manage budgets, negotiate vendor contracts and fees, and ensure billing and invoicing processes are met.
  • Create and manage project timelines.
  • Manage onsite teams for seamless installation and execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and manage deliverables and deadlines day-to-day, meeting expectations and project goals.
  • Lead clear and consistent communication and coordination between team members, in-house departments, external organizations/consultants, and clients.
  • Manage client needs and expectations, building and strengthening client relationships.
  • Oversee multiple simultaneous projects and teams in various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in creating, managing, and refining Statements of Work.
  • Manage and execute multi-channel projects, including live events, content, social and digital-driven initiatives, campaigns, and partnerships.
  • Develop detailed action plans and ensure projects run smoothly throughout all phases.
  • Ensure integrated event solutions are innovative and strategically relevant, building brand equity and delivering results for the client.
  • Understand MKG and client-specific Health & Safety policies and objectives, ensuring consistent application onsite through project execution.
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions with creative team.
  • Recommend vendors for various executions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day team and project management, delegation, and oversight.
  • Clearly understand and translate both team and client vision, direction, and needs.
  • Translate creative ideas into project plans and deliverables.
  • Create, manage, and reconcile budgets.
  • Coordinate with project leads from other departments to ensure deliverables are on track.
  • Serve as a leader within the department.
  • Mentor at least one full-time Producer, overseeing their projects and providing support and guidance. Ensure their growth and development .
  • Assign specific roles and responsibilities throughout planning and onsite execution.
  • Understand project profitability and manage Scope of Work and Change Order Management.
  • Consistently track project team hours to ensure staying within the originally scoped estimate.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of similar experience in experiential/event production.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Managing People.
  • Experience working with Google Suite.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, thoughtful, and strategic thinker.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, resourceful, self-motivated, extremely organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Worked with clients in travel, hospitality, lifestyle, beauty, sports, tech, and/or entertainment.
  • Broad network of contacts in the experiential marketing and production industries/fields.
  • Prior management experience, specifically managing multiple direct reports.
  • Client-facing role within an agency environment.
  • Proven track record developing and managing large, complex projects/teams.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels within the organization, clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Experience developing and managing seven-figure budgets.
  • Ability to travel as we produce projects and events across the country.
