MKG, with offices in NYC and LA, is actively looking for a smart and enthusiastic Account Executive to help manage a variety of different clients and be based out of our NYC office. Candidates must have 3+ years of experience working directly with clients and internal teams to deliver on projects from client brief through to execution. Experience working in experiential marketing, digital events and/or B2B projects is required.
Salary Range: $65K-$73K
***This is the minimum + maximum base salary that we, in good faith, are willing to pay at the time of the posting. Salary commensurate with experience.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
MKG is looking for a talented and versatile Account Executive who will report directly to the Sr. Account Manager at MKG and will provide daily support for all activations. They will be responsible for coordinating event tracking/reporting, presentation and materials, managing calls, and creation of pre and post-event evaluations. The Account Executive will be skilled at looking at the whole picture and taking the initiative for that next step taking on new challenges and liaising across several client teams. This person must have an interest in learning in a fast paced environment and a passion for client services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
This role will assist on all job functions, including but not limited to the following:
- Serve as an internal brand custodian, organizing and maintaining internal resources, and effectively communicating brand guidelines, goals, and expectations to internal team members
- Lead small to medium scale projects in planning and execution with minimal oversight
- Prepare meeting materials and author and circulate thorough notes for all status meetings and project-related meetings
- Actively contribute to creative ideation for brand activations and initiatives maximizing cross-functional team collaboration to integrate the client’s full eco-system at every touchpoint
- Act as project manager and establish, coordinate and enforce internal and external deadlines and deliverables
- Must have experience managing agency and production partners surrounding deadlines, progress updates, daily communications, and more
- Run meetings, and back-end communication to the greater team, pushing the project forward without oversight
- Working with the team to evaluate, develop and estimate costs and timelines against concepts, designs, goals etc.
- Create and manage small to medium scale budgets throughout project with minimal support/oversights (and have the ability to flag budget concerns to the larger team)
- When required, be prepared to travel 25-30% of the time to attend client meetings, events, and other relevant engagements
- Streamline contracting processes based on client needs
- Maintain central planning matrix and Google Drive folder for streamlined collaboration
- Foster real-time communication among cross-functional teams
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE
- 3+ years of relevant experience and hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Have an understanding of the experiential landscape, integrated production and content development
- Have an interest in keeping up with the latest industry trends, both physical and digital
- Have production experience
- Be able to think creatively about a variety of challenges and apply their organizational skills accordingly
- Think big picture with your internal team and client – collaborate, but push boundaries
- Demonstrates experience by managing their own projects and clients- self-starter, thinking proactively and knowing how to act on that, without being prompted
- Has excellent prioritization skills and the ability to change/shift focus with ease both onsite and in pre-production
- Ability to Interpret data and know how to develop/implement tracking tools and systems to measure results
- Ability to maintain composure and find solutions when faced with stressful situations
- Maintain strong relationships with partners and vendors that elevate concepts across a variety of mediums
- Demonstrate ability to anticipate next steps/consequences, regularly develops “plan B”
- Deep understanding of organizational dynamics, change management, and process improvement principles
- Display creative thinking and adept organizational skills in problem-solving
- Client-facing experience in creative agencies, production studios, or tech companies, with stakeholder influencing skills, copy-editing/writing proficiency
- This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills
- Deliver quality work in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Have the ability to manage up
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects/disciplines
- Proficiency in Google Slides, Google Suite, Outlook and Mac iOS
